Apple Released iOS 17.1.1 Update: Apple has recently rolled out an update for iOS 17 addressing some issues related to Apple Pay and NFC functionality on iPhone 15 models. These problems specifically occurred after wireless charging in car models.

The latest update, iOS 17.1.1 introduces features for AirDrop, Apple Music and other services. It also fixes a few bugs that were present in the version. Additionally updates for watchOS 10.1 and iPadOS 17.1.1 have also been released recently.

What’s New in iOS 17.1.1?

Two significant issues have been addressed in the iOS 17.1.1 update. Firstly there was an issue, with the lock screen weather widget not displaying snow

Additionally certain BMW car models experienced a bug that prevented Apple Pay and other NFC features from functioning after charging on the iPhone 15 series (including iPhone 15 iPhone 15 Plus iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max). Thankfully these problems have now been resolved.

Furthermore a few other bugs were fixed, possibly related to device shutdowns and Wi Fi connectivity. While the iOS 17.1.1 update doesn’t bring any features it is still recommended to keep your device updated for enhanced privacy and security.

Users of the iPhone 11 series, iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 14 series and now even the released iPhone 15 series can download this update. To install it on your device simply go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Apple is currently testing the iOS 17.2 update, which includes widgets and a translation option, for the Action button, on the iPhone 15 Pro models. Although the precise date of the update’s arrival is unknown, it is anticipated to come by year’s end.
