Today we are going to talk about Google Pixel 9 Pro which is a very popular flagship smartphone of Google and this phone is known for its premium look and solid performance. If you are wondering if this phone is really perfect for you, then this post is for you. I have used this phone a lot, tested it in the real-world, and today I will give you an honest opinion.

Google Pixel 9 Pro Honest Review

When I opened the box of Pixel 9 Pro, one thing I noticed the box is made of recycled paper. Keeping the environment in mind, Google has kept its design so sleek and minimal that it is a pleasure to look at it. Open the box, and inside you find a Type-C cable, sim ejector tool, and a little paperwork. Yes, there is no charger, which leaves a little void. But this trend may change in the future. The phone weighs just 199 grams, and the 6.3-inch display gives a perfect size – neither too big, nor too small.

Design: Premium Vibes Only

Seeing the design of Pixel 9 Pro, Its sleek look and premium finish make it a different pleasure to hold in hands. The protection of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the brightness of 2000 nits make this phone absolutely perfect for outdoor shooting or gaming. I even tested it in the sun, and the clarity of the display impressed me. To know more about its looks, you can take a look at the Google Pixel 9 Pro design.

Performance: Tensor G4

Google has used its own Tensor G4 processor this time, which is based on a 4nm chip. This processor gives an absolutely smooth experience in daily usage – no lag whether it is scrolling, app switching, or multitasking. I tried it with heavy apps as well, and this phone ran absolutely buttery smooth. With 16GB RAM and 256GB storage, this phone leaves no stone unturned in terms of power. It comes with Android 14 out-of-the-box, and an upgrade to Android 15 is also available.

But there is a small catch – it leaves a little shortcoming in gaming. Despite the 120Hz display, high-end games only support up to 60fps, which is a bit disappointing. If you are a hardcore gamer, then you may miss it a little.

Camera: Father of Photography

Now let’s talk about the biggest USP of this phone – the camera. The camera system of the Pixel 9 Pro is absolutely next-level. With a 50MP main wide, 48MP ultra-wide, and a 48MP telephoto lens, this phone does wonders for photography and videography. The front camera is also 42MP, which takes sharp selfies. I shot a vlog with this and its high dynamic range and color accuracy left me stunned.

Videos can be recorded in 8K 30fps or 4K 60fps and the results are absolutely cinematic. There is also a cinematic mode which blurs the background, but it is a little less impressive than the cinematic mode on the iPhone. The front camera does not support cinematic mode, which is a slight lack. But overall, its camera system is perfect for bloggers and creators.

Battery and Connectivity: Practical and Powerful

With a 4700mAh battery, this phone easily lasts a full day. There is also an option for wireless charging and power sharing, which comes in handy in emergencies. Support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 makes this phone future-ready. One small complaint – the single physical SIM option seems a bit outdated. Dual SIM support would have been even more helpful. In terms of network connectivity, this phone performs better than the iPhone, which is a big thing.

AI Features:

Google’s Gemini AI is a game-changer in the Pixel 9 Pro. From photo editing to message drafting, this AI makes your life so easy that you will be amazed. I used it to draft a romantic message, and the results were absolutely on-point. It works wonders in photo editing too – delete an object or create a duplicate, all in one tap.

Raw Android Experience

Pixel 9 Pro feels like pure stock Android. No bloatware, no extra apps – just a clean and smooth UI. The live wallpapers and UI design are so beautiful that they give a different vibe to daily use. You also get free cloud storage of Google Drive, which comes in handy for data backup. This phone is perfect for those who want a raw Android experience.

Final Verdict: Worth it?

So is this phone worth your money? If you are a blogger, content creator, or photography enthusiast, then Pixel 9 Pro is definitely made for you. Its camera, design, and AI features make it a premium choice. Yes, it lacks a little in gaming and also falls a bit behind in terms of fast charging (45W). But overall, this phone is a solid package in terms of looks, performance, and camera. How did you like this phone? Do tell me in the comments
