At CES 2025, Intel has recently announced its latest Core ultra processors making huge upgrades in performance and efficiency.
The latest processors, the Arrow Lake HX and Meteor Lake series are built to give top-notch capabilities in performance with great connectivity and varied features.
In this blog, we will be talking about how Intel Announces Powerful Arrow Lake HX and Meteor Lake CPU Upgrades at CES 2025.
Intel’s Arrow Lake HX Series
Intel’s Arrow Lake HX series is made to fulfill the demand of users who want good performance along with great efficiency.
The processor is an inclusion of the processors, Core Ultra 9, Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 5.
Talking about the Core Ultra 9, it is there in two models – 285HX and 275HX. The Core Ultra 9 is available in two variants: the 285HX and 275HX.
Both of them have 24 cores, 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. And the maximum clock speed is 5.5GH.
All of this made the Core Ultra 9 a great choice for users who prioritize great performance like for example gamers, creators or working professionals with extensive work.
On the other hand, Intel’s Core Ultra 7 processor has two models, the 265HX and 255HX. These have 20 cores that have 8 performance cores and 12 efficiency cores.
It can make it to 5.3 GHz clock speed. The Core Ultra 5 processor of Intel is designed for basic users and has variants in 245HX and 235HX.
These have 6 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores featuring a peak speed of 5.1GHz. It is among the entry-level inclusion among others but still offers good performance.
All the above processors come with an Intel Arc present GPU, supporting 96GB of LPDDR5X RAM and connectivity features like Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. This ensures a great performance efficiency with a turbo wattage of 57W.
Intel’s Meteor Lake Core Ultra 200U Series

Intel has also come up with the Core Ultra 200U series intending to cater to users who require efficient and powerful performance.
However when compared to the Arrow Lake HX series these processors are in a lesser category with the performance and clock speed which is perfect for ultrabooks.
Intel’s Core Ultra 200U series has two Core Ultra 7 variants, 265U & 255U along with two Core Ultra 5 variants, 235U & 225U.
All the processors include 2 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores and 2 low power efficiency cores.
The reach clock speed in the Core Ultra 7 is around 5.3GHz for the 256U variant and 5.2GHz for the 255U variant.
On the other hand, the Core Ultra 5 has the clock speeds of 4.9GHz for the 235U variant and 4.8GHz for 225U.
These also offer a support of 96 GB of DDR5 RAM. Along with this, there are multiple connectivity options like Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Conclusion
Overall Intel’s newly launched Core Ultra processors make a significant mark in offering powerful efficient performance to users.
The Arrow Lake HX series is built to manage high-end users’ needs whereas the Meteor Lake Core Ultra 200U series is made for lightweight laptops that are energy efficient.
Features like the Thunderbolt 5, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity and 96GB RAM Intel ensure high performance maintaining its place in the market.
