Hey friends, what’s the matter? Motorola has created a new sensation! First it won our hearts with its beautiful phones, then impressed us with MotoBuds and Moto Pad 60 Pro, and now? Now Motorola has launched its first laptop – Moto Book 60! And this laptop is so stunning that I was stunned just by looking at it.
Price? Starting from just Rs. 62,000 (with bank discounts), and the specs are such that you can’t even imagine any other brand at this price. But is it really that perfect, or is there something hidden? Come on, today we will explore this Moto Book 60 completely and see what wonders it does. Ready? Then let’s start!
A different Moto Vibe – Design that steals your heart
First of all let’s talk about its design, because this laptop looks amazing. Motorola has also added its iconic Panton colors to it, which we like so much in Moto phones. My favorite? Panton Wedgewood version, which is inspired by Moto Edge 50 Pro. And it looks like a fresh breeze amidst the black, white or boring grey colors of other laptops.
This laptop is 14-inch in size, 16.9mm thin and weighs just 1.39kg. Its aluminium build with sandblasted finish not only feels premium but also keeps fingerprints and smudges away. With a shiny Moto logo, curved edges, and a solid build quality, this laptop is also military-grade certified. Meaning, it can handle even a little rough handling with ease.
One more thing – its lid opens smoothly with one hand and the rubber feet keep it stable on a table. There is a little flex in the keyboard but it is not noticeable while typing. So, when it comes to design, Motorola has left no stone unturned. Are you also a fan of such vibrant designs? Do let us know in the comments!
Display that will blow your mind
Now coming to its display, which is a big highlight of this laptop. 2.8K OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate in this price segment? It sounds like a dream! Colours are vibrant, blacks are super deep, and with 500 nits of brightness, this is a perfect item for watching content. There is also HDR support, which makes movies and shows come alive.
And if you are into photo editing or creative work, this display is also colour-accurate with 100% sRGB, 100% DCI-P3, and 93% NTSC coverage. One small drawback? The display is a little reflective, there is no anti-glare or matte finish. But honestly, it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
The smoothness of 120Hz makes scrolling and animations feel different. So in terms of display, the Moto Book 60 is absolutely top-notch. Do you also like OLED displays? Or do you like matte finishes better?
Performance – Don’t let me stop you

Now let’s talk about the heart, i.e. performance. The Moto Book 60 comes in two variants – Core i5 and Core i7. The base model has Core i5-210 Edge, which is a new series processor and has also been seen in gaming laptops at this price. Along with this, you get 16GB DDR5 RAM (dual-channel) and 512GB Gen 4 SSD, which is quite fast. And the best part? It has two RAM slots and two SSD slots, meaning you can upgrade the RAM up to 32GB and storage up to 1TB. So much flexibility at this price? Hats off, Motorola!
This laptop is extremely smooth in day-to-day performance. Multiple Chrome tabs, multitasking with apps, or heavy editing in Photoshop – it handles everything with ease. A little stuttering was seen in the Settings app, but this seems more like a Windows bug.
Gaming? With Intel integrated graphics, CS2 delivers 40 FPS at 1080p on medium settings, which is enough for casual gamers. Thermals are also under control – a large fan and two heat pipes handle the work comfortably, and the fan noise is also minimal. So in terms of performance as well, this laptop is solid value for money.
Motorola Ecosystem – Everything Connected
Motorola’s ecosystem is now complete – phones, earbuds, tablet, and now laptop. And with Moto Book 60, Smart Connect features are so cool that your experience goes to the next level. To connect the phone to the laptop, just scan a QR code, and you’re done!
App Streaming
You can run your phone’s apps on the laptop. Multiple apps run smoothly too.
Desktop Mode
You can view your phone’s apps in a desktop-like UI.
Mirror Phone Screen
Mirror your phone’s screen on your laptop.
Webcam Feature
Use your phone’s camera as your laptop’s webcam, and it also works on Zoom or Google Meet.
Universal Clipboard
Copy from your phone, paste on your laptop (and vice versa). A Smart Clipboard panel saves recent copies.
Swipe to Share
Transfer files between your phone and laptop by dragging-and-drop.
Cross Control
Use your laptop’s touchpad and keyboard on your phone too. Dragging a cursor from one screen to another is so seamless!
These ecosystem features make the Moto Book 60 extremely unique. If you have a Moto phone, this laptop is a game-changer.
Keyboard, Touchpad, Ports and More
The Moto Book 60’s Mylar touchpad is smooth and responsive, with multi-gesture support. The size is perfect, not too big, not too small. The keyboard is also comfortable, backlit with a greyish hue and decent key travel. The layout is also user-friendly.
The port selection is also flawless:
- 2 USB-C ports (with PD charging, data transfer, and DisplayPort support)
- 1 HDMI port
- MicroSD card reader
- 2 fast USB-A ports (one for always-on charging)
The dual front-firing speakers with Dolby Atmos are loud, but lack a bit of fullness. The 1080p webcam with Windows Hello is fast and reliable, and the mic quality is also good. All these features make this laptop an all-rounder.
Battery Life – Slightly Lack
One area where Moto Book 60 falls short is battery life. With a 60Wh battery, it lasts for 5 hours in normal usage. The 65W USB-C fast charger is good and can be used for phone charging as well, but battery life could have been a little better. Power consumption is probably higher due to the new processor. Do you think 5 hours of battery life is enough or do you expect more?
Final Verdict – Is Moto Book 60 Worth It?
So friends, what amazing thing has Motorola done with its first laptop? In one word – awesome! For Rs 62,000, getting a combination of a 2.8K OLED display, Core i5-210 Edge processor, upgradable RAM and storage, premium design, and a great ecosystem features is a great deal. Yes, the battery life could have been a little better, and the display is a little reflective, but these have so many positives that they get easily overshadowed.
If you are looking for an all-rounder laptop under 65K, which is perfect for work, entertainment, and a little gaming, then the Moto Book 60 is a solid choice. And if you are part of the Motorola ecosystem, then it becomes even more amazing.
