Friends, if you are looking for a phone that is stylish, powerful, and comes with a unique stylus, then Motorola’s new Moto Edge 60 Stylus is a dazzling option! I recently used this phone at a comic event in Mumbai, and trust me, it impressed me quite a lot. But is this phone really worth your money? In this blog post, I will tell you about all its positives and a few drawbacks in detail. So let’s get started!
First Impression: Unboxing and Look
When I opened the box of the Moto Edge 60 Stylus, I thought, “Oh, this is giving a premium vibe!” Everything is in the box – phone, 68W Turbo Charger, Type-C cable, and a SIM ejector tool – only one thing was missing, the protective cover. Yes, friends, Motorola did not provide a cover this time, so you will have to buy it separately.
The design of the phone is extremely sleek. Its Surf the Web and Blue color variant, with vegan leather finish, gives a premium feel in the hand. There is a plastic frame on the sides which is a bit shiny and chamfered, and the camera bump is also neatly integrated into the body. Apart from this, this phone is lightweight and slim, which makes the in-hand feel super comfortable. Oh, and a bonus – there is a 3.5mm headphone jack too!
With IP68 water resistance and military-grade durability, this phone will survive even a little rain or accidental spills. So if you are a fan of outdoor photography, don’t worry, this phone will handle it.
Stylus:
Now let’s talk about the highlight of this phone – the Stylus. This is the first phone in the segment to come with a built-in stylus, and trust me, it is not a gimmick at all. The Stylus comes with a pop-up mechanism, and its feel is absolutely smooth. I made notes and sketches using it, and was surprised to see that the latency is almost zero – meaning it feels like real-time writing.
This stylus has some very interesting features:
- Quick Notes: You can make notes directly by taking out the stylus even when the phone is locked.
- Sketch to Image: I made a basic sketch and the AI converted it to watercolor, realistic, or clean-up style. Result? Mind-blowing!
- Handwriting Calculator: This feature is super useful for college students or office workers. For example, I wrote “45 + 25 + 2 * 5”, and it gave the answer instantly.
- Free Crop: You can crop photos according to your needs.
The feel of the stylus is so natural that I think artists, students, or professionals can benefit a lot from it. There is just one small drawback – there is no sound like a sketch pen while writing, but that’s not a dealbreaker.
Camera:
The camera setup of the Moto Edge 60 Stylus is also quite solid. It has a 50MP main camera (Sony LYT-700 sensor), 13MP ultrawide, and a 32MP selfie camera. I took a lot of photos with this phone at a comic event in Mumbai – it performed brilliantly in harsh lighting, low light, daylight, everything.
- Main Camera: The edge detection and detailing is very good in portrait shots. Photos come out crisp even in 1x and 2x zoom.
- Ultrawide: Ultrawide shots in daylight come with good detailing, but in low light there is a bit of softness.
- Selfie: The 32MP front camera captures a wide area, and reproduces skin tones naturally.
For video, it supports 4K 30fps recording, and I also shot a few videos at a comic event – the output was decent even in low light. Just one small issue – the shutter lags sometimes, which can be a bit annoying. If Motorola fixes this through a software update, this phone will become even more amazing in the camera department.
Display: Vibrant and Smooth
The 6.7-inch Super HD pOLED display on this phone is quite vibrant, and with a 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling is buttery smooth. With 1400 HBM and 3000 nits peak brightness, I used it even in direct sunlight, and visibility was quite clear. Colours pop out, and the deep blacks make it a pleasure to enjoy content.
The Gorilla Glass protection and minimal bezels further enhance its look. Just one thing – there is no HDR support on YouTube and Netflix yet, but 4K 60fps content plays smoothly. Overall, this display is top-notch for movies, gaming, or viewing photos.
Performance and Battery: Power Packed
Moto Edge 60 Stylus has Snapdragon 7S2 processor, which is based on 4nm architecture and gives AnTuTu score around 6.5 lakh. This phone is very smooth for casual gaming – 60fps is easily available in games like TDM. A little compromise may have to be made for heavy gaming, but there is no problem in daily use and multitasking.
The phone has a 5000mAh battery, which gives full day backup. With 68W Turbo Charger, it gets charged from 0-100% in 55 minutes. And listen, 15W wireless charging is also available in this price segment – Motorola has won our hearts with this! There are also many options in the settings for battery protection, which are helpful for long-term usage.
Software and AI: Future-Ready
This phone runs on Hello UI with Android 15, which is clean and responsive. Motorola promises 2 years of OS updates and 3 years of security patches. There are a lot of personalization options in the UI – you can customize fonts, colors, icon shapes, and even fingerprint animations.
AI features are also a big highlight of this phone:
- Moto AI: Activated by double-tap power button. It summarizes notifications, transcribes audio, and saves screenshots through the “Remember This” feature.
- Magic Canvas: You can create images through Generative AI.
- Photo Enhancement: There are features for AI-powered color correction and action shots.
Apart from these, the Smart Connect feature is very useful for Windows users, such as you can share or cast photos, videos, and phone screen in one tap.
Price and Verdict
Moto Edge 60 Stylus has a single 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, which is priced at Rs. 22,999. There is a card discount of Rs. 1000 both online and offline, so you will get it for Rs. 21,999. Stylus, wireless charging, IP68 rating, and solid camera setup at this price – Motorola has really done good job.
So should you buy this phone? If you want an all-rounder phone that offers unique features along with a stylus, good camera, and premium design, then this phone is a solid choice. If you are a heavy gamer, then you will have to do a little research.
