OPPO India recently announced the OPPO Reno 11 series to come with ColorOS 14 in India. The upcoming update is set to bring features and will be based on Android 14. Furthermore OPPO has assured users of three Android version updates and four security patches, for this device.

In India, OPPO has declared that the Reno 11 and Reno 11 Pro will be the first to ship with ColorOS 14, an Android 14-based operating system, straight out of the box. This was made clear by the official Reno 11 series launch microsite.

The Reno 11 series will receive OS updates for three years and security updates for four years, according to the company.

The previous model featured three years of security patches and only two years of platform updates. Thus, the recent arrivals could receive the Android 17 update.

  • ColorOS 14 Aquamorphic Design features new sound effects, ringtones, color schemes and UI components.
  • With the new GO Green Always On Display, you can see how many steps you take and how much less carbon dioxide you produce.
  • Crop an image and then paste it somewhere else with a new feature called Smart Touch.
  • File Dock is the additional new feature to store and share content instances between apps. It will appear on the Sidebar within the ColorOS home screen.
  • Picture Keeper is the improved video and photo permission manager which is used for this purpose.
  • Also, their performance level in terms of processor, memory and storage has been enhanced.

More specifically, Reno 11 Pro will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC with a 32MP selfie portrait camera as well as 80W SuperVOOC charging being present. On the other hand, Reno 11 may have a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset and support a SuperVOOC charger that supports W67. January 11th is the release date for these phones.
