Today we are going to see the iQOO Z10 Turbo Plus – a mid-range phone that was launched in China a few days ago! This phone is creating a lot of hype due to its massive 8000mAh battery, Dimensity 9400+ chipset, and 144Hz AMOLED display. It also has an IP65 rating, and looks quite solid for the price. Let’s see what’s in the box and how this phone performs – camera, gaming, and everything else!
What’s in the Box?
The look of the box is extremely simple but premium. Inside you get the phone, 90W fast charger, Type-C cable, SIM ejector tool, and a black silicone case that seems to be of decent quality. There is also an instruction manual, but nothing fancy.
The base variant is 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, which is available in China for ~2200 Yuan (around ₹27,000 in India, ~1100 AED in Dubai). The top variant 16GB + 512GB is also available. The initial vibe is quite solid for the price!
Design: Slim, but a little plastic
The design of the phone is sleek – with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, which is large but sits comfortably in the hand. The weight is 212g, which is quite impressive along with the 8000mAh battery. The thickness is also just 8.16mm, meaning the phone doesn’t feel bulky despite such a big battery. The back and frame are plastic, but the finish is so good that it doesn’t look cheap. Colors include White, Gray, and Gold – the gold one gives a totally different vibe with the camera frame.
At the bottom is the SIM tray, Type-C port, mic, and stereo speaker. There is a speaker grill at the top as well, and there is also IP65 dust and water resistance – it would have been even more fun if it was IP68! The bezels are super thin, the chin is also small, and the single punch-hole display gives a totally clean look.
Display: Great for Gaming and Movies
The display is a great highlight – 6.78-inch AMOLED, with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 1 billion colors. It has a peak brightness of 5500 nits, which looks crystal clear even outdoors. HDR10+ support, and 4320Hz PWM dimming is comfortable for the eyes. It is fun to watch movies or web series, and this display is very smooth even for gaming. There is also SGS screen protection, which is a plus point for durability. Will you give 10/10 to the display?
Performance: Dimensity 9400+ magic
It has MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, which is very powerful. The AnTuTu score was ~2.6 million, Geekbench single-core ~2390 and multi-core ~7585 and 3D Mark stability was 58.4% – a little lacking, but overall impressive. With LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, apps and games open quickly. iQOO also has Q2 gaming chip which boosts gaming.
In PUBG, you get smooth + extreme (60fps) and ultra extreme (120fps) settings. Along with 144Hz display, hopefully future updates will bring 144fps as well. I played 3-4 matches – there was no lag, no heating! The 7000mm² vapor chamber cooling doesn’t let the phone heat up beyond 43°C, which is absolutely solid. Performance remains consistent even during long gaming sessions. OriginOS 5 (Android 15) is absolutely smooth even in daily use – no lag, no jitters.
Camera: Average, but okay
The camera disappoints a bit. There is a 50MP main (OIS) and 8MP ultra-wide lens at the back, and a 16MP selfie camera at the front. The main camera gives natural colours and decent details during the day, but a little noise is visible. Ultra-wide is average – details are low in low-light. There is 20x digital zoom, but not usable.
The video resolution is 4K@60fps (rear) and 1080p@30fps (front), which is fine. The video is stable with OIS, but the front camera is a bit lacking. At this price, the camera should have been improved further, as it lags behind the battery and performance.
Battery: 8000mAh Monster
The 8000mAh silicon-carbon battery is the biggest USP of this phone! It runs comfortably for 2-3 days in normal use, and even in heavy gaming, it gives 8-10 hours of screen-on time. With 90W fast charging, it gets fully charged in 40-50 minutes. There is also reverse charging, which is a bonus. Even with such a big battery, the phone is slim and light – iQOO has done wonders in this!
Audio and Extras: Work
There are stereo speakers, but the sound quality is average – bass is a little low, mids and treble are decent. It is fine for casual use, but music lovers may not like it. In-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock are fast. There is an IR blaster, which is useful for TV or AC control. There is dual nano-SIM support, but no microSD slot. There is Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC as well. The USB-C 2.0 port is a little slow.
Pricing: Value For Money?
The 12GB+256GB variant starts at ₹27,000 (China price), and the 16GB+512GB goes up to ₹36,500. If launched globally, it can cost ₹35,000-40,000 in India and ₹1600 AED in Dubai. Getting 8000mAh battery, powerful chipset, and great display in this is a great deal!
