Realme P4 series is coming on 20 August 2025, and I have taken an exclusive first look of Realme P4 Pro. This phone promises dual chipset, 144 FPS gaming, and 7000mAh battery under ₹30,000. I opened its box, saw the design, and also tested some gaming. Let’s see in simple words how this phone looks and whether it is worth its price or not.
What’s in the box?
The box gives a very premium vibe – it is a media unit, but the retail box will be similar to this. Inside you get: Realme P4 Pro, Type-C cable, SIM ejector pin, quick guide, and a transparent case. 80W charger is also in the box, which is a big deal at this price. It is written on the box “Not for Retail Sale,” but the design and feel is very solid. As soon as you take out the phone, it feels like you have something big in your hand.
Design: Thin, Premium, and Different
The design of Realme P4 Pro seems to be inspired by the Realme GT series – sleek and modern. The back has a matte finish, which is not a fingerprint magnet. The frame is plastic, but gives a premium feel. With a thickness of 7.68mm and a weight of 190g, this device is very slim and light. The camera module is in a vertical style, which looks cool. The colours are Midnight Ivy, Dark Oak Wood, and Birch Wood – Dark Oak Wood looks very unique. It also has an IP68 rating, which provides protection from water and dust.
Camera: 50MP Performance
The camera setup has a 50MP main (Sony IMX896, OIS), 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro lens. There is a 50MP selfie camera on the front. The main camera takes sharp photos in daylight – colours vibrant, details crisp. Portrait mode has good edge detection, and Zeiss-inspired filters make photos look great. Ultra-wide is a bit average, details are less in low-light. Video supports up to 4K@60fps, but stabilization was a bit lacking. Selfie camera is also solid, but gives a slightly warm tone.
Performance: 144 FPS Gaming Test
It has Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, along with HyperVision AI GPU which boosts gaming. It scored single-core 1216 and multi-core 3533 on Geekbench, which is solid at this price. I tested BGMI and Call of Duty – 144 FPS is claimed, and it works. In BGMI, turning on AI HyperMotion takes 90fps to 142-144 FPS. This is not raw FPS, frame interpolation happens with MEMC tech, which gives smoothness, but a little latency can come in competitive gaming.
7000 sq mm AirFlow VC cooling along with heating control is impressive – after 30 minutes of gaming it heated up to 38-39°C, and did not go above 45°C even in long sessions. With 8GB/12GB RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage, apps open quickly, and multitasking is smooth. Realme UI 6 (Android 15) is clean and fast, with 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
Battery: 7000mAh
7000mAh battery is the biggest highlight of this phone. It will run comfortably for 2 days in normal use, and even in gaming it gives 8-9 hours of screen-on time. 80W fast charging charges 50% in 25-30 minutes, and full charge in 50 minutes. There is also 10W reverse charging for TWS or other devices.
Display: Curved and Bright
6.77-inch HyperGlow AMOLED 4D Curve+ display, with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 6500 nits peak brightness. It is visible even in sunlight, and with HDR10+ support, YouTube videos look great. 4320Hz PWM dimming and TÜV Rheinland certification make it comfortable for eyes.
Audio and Extras
Dual stereo speakers with clear sound, though bass is a bit low. An IR Blaster is included for controlling TV/AC. The in-display fingerprint scanner is fast. 20 5G bands, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC are supported. USB-C 2.0 port is slower for data transfer. Dual nano-SIM is supported, but no eSIM.
Software: Smooth and Clean
Realme UI 6 (Android 15) runs smoothly, with minimal bloatware and uninstallable apps. Plenty of customization options and AI features like photo enhancement and gaming boost are included.
Pricing
Realme P4 Pro expected price is ₹25,000-29,000 (8GB+128GB), and top variant (12GB+256GB) ~₹30,000. Realme P4 will come in ₹20,000-23,000.
