Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Could Have a Brighter Display
Samsung plans to incorporate a use of the Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) in Galaxy S26 Ultra by reducing power consumption and enhancing light transmission, says The Elec.
The CoE technology makes major PDL black and uses a color filter in lieu of polarizing plates used in OLEDs.
It is believed that power consumption of the display screen is reduced and the thickness of the former is made thinner with improved light transmittance when the polarizer layer is eliminated.
Also, there will be improvements in color reproduction. The Black PDL will improve the brightness of the screen through the prevention of light reflection inside it from the current news source.
OLED may be protected from oxygen and moisture by color filters printed on Thin-Film Encapsulation (TFE).
