I have used Vivo V60 for 10 days and now I am going to give a detailed review of it. How do the photos come, how are the videos made, how does it perform while gaming, and overall how was the experience of the phone – I will cover everything in this review. What are the strong points of this phone and where did it fall short, I will talk about everything. So let’s start without wasting time!
Camera Review
The biggest focus of Vivo V60 is on its cameras, and this is absolutely clear. It has a triple rear camera setup – 50MP primary (Sony IMX766, OIS), 50MP telephoto (Sony IMX882, 3x optical zoom), and 8MP ultra-wide. There is a 50MP selfie camera on the front as well, which is tuned with Zeiss. These cameras deliver amazing photos in daylight – the balance of clarity, colours, and HDR is great. With Zeiss Multifocal Portraits, you get focal lengths from 23mm to 100mm, which give a very professional look to portrait shots. Edge detection and bokeh effect are quite clean, and 85mm/100mm shots give a complete DSLR feel.
A unique feature is the Wedding vLog mode, in which you can create auto-edited videos by making small clips – with music and effects, without the hassle of any editing. This is quite handy for social media. You can go from 3x optical zoom to 100x digital zoom, but at 100x AI is used and the clarity is a little less. The primary camera performs well even in low-light, but the ultra-wide lens is a little weak – details are less and noise is more. The selfie camera works well in group shots and the autofocus sharply captures details of every face.
For videos, you can shoot 4K@30fps from the front and rear, but the ultra-wide lens does not support 4K. The balance of dynamic range and exposure is good, and zoom switching (1x, 2x, 3x) happens smoothly during video recording, which is quite useful for vlogging. One drawback is that there is no option of 4K@60fps, which was in Vivo V50. This is a bit disappointing, especially in this price range. Overall, the features of the camera app and photo quality are quite solid, but video stabilization and ultra-wide should have been improved a bit.
Design and Build: Slim and Stylish
The design of the phone is extremely sleek – 7.53mm slim profile and 192g weight (Mist Gray variant). Despite being so slim, it has a 6500mAh battery fitted in it, which is a miracle of excellent engineering. There is glass at the back, and the front has Schott Diamond Shield Glass protection, which protects against scratches and drops. With IP68/IP69 rating, this phone is water and dust resistant – can survive in 1.5m water for up to 120 minutes. Colors include Mist Gray, Moonlit Blue, and Auspicious Gold.
There is also a transparent TPU case in the box, which gives good protection despite keeping the phone slim. Pre-applied protective film is also provided, so there is no need to buy an extra screen protector initially. The frame is made of plastic, which does not feel a little premium, but overall the build quality is solid.
Display: Enjoy watching content
The 6.77-inch AMOLED display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes scrolling and animations extremely smooth. With 5000 nits peak brightness and 1500 nits HBM, the screen looks clear even outdoors. Colors are vibrant, and HDR10+ support makes it fun to watch content on YouTube and Netflix. There is 2160Hz PWM dimming, which is comfortable for the eyes, especially at night. I did not notice any lag or screen issues – everything is fluid and clear.
Performance: No Complaints in Daily Use
The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, which comes with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. Yes, UFS 2.2 feels a bit old, and UFS 3.1 or 4.0 would have been better. But there are no complaints in daily use – apps open quickly, multitasking is smooth, and heavy tasks like video editing can also be handled. I played BGMI on it, and gameplay was smooth on Medium + Extreme settings, but there is no specific optimization for 90fps. Vapor chamber cooling keeps thermals under control – the phone did not get too hot even after long gaming sessions (max 43°C).
AnTuTu score is around ~9.5 lakh, which almost goes up to 1 million. Geekbench scores are also decent, and there is no issue of CPU throttling. This phone is enough for casual gaming, but if you are a hardcore gamer then maybe OnePlus 13R or Realme GT 7 will be more powerful.
Battery: Amazing
6500mAh battery is the biggest plus point of this phone. Even with heavy use (gaming, photos, videos) I got 8 hours of screen-on time (SOT), and with normal use (social media, YouTube) it lasts for 1.5 days. With 90W FlashCharge, it gets fully charged in 55-60 minutes. The charger is provided in the box. Battery optimization is quite good, and the phone adjusts itself according to your usage. Hardly anyone will give such solid battery backup at this price.
Software: Clean and Smooth
The phone comes with Android 15, on top of Funtouch OS 15. The UI is smooth, and there is no lag in animations. There are some pre-installed apps (like V-Appstore), but most can be uninstalled. There is a promise of 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches, which is a big deal at this price. AI features like AI Captions, AI Magic Move, and Google Gemini are also useful, especially for photo editing.
Audio and Extras
There are dual stereo speakers, but the loudness and bass are a bit average. It is fine for casual video watching, but music lovers may find it a little lacking. The in-display fingerprint scanner is fast, and there is also support for NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, and 20 5G bands. One small drawback – the USB-C 2.0 port is a bit slow for data transfer.
Pricing and Variants
The starting price of Vivo V60 is ₹36,999 (8GB+128GB), and the top-end 16GB+512GB variant is available for ₹45,999. At this price, this phone offers a lot of value, especially for the camera and battery.

Conclusion
The Vivo V60 is a phone that is perfect for camera lovers and those who want long battery life. With a slim design, solid build, and a bright display, this phone feels premium. The cameras take amazing portrait and daylight shots, but lack a bit in ultra-wide and video stabilization. Starting at ₹36,999, this phone is quite competitive in its segment.
If you want premium looks, great camera, and a long battery, this phone is perfect. But for hardcore gaming or video recording, you may want to look at more options.
