If you’re a camera lover and want a phone that’s great at taking photos, the Vivo X300 Pro seems perfect for you! I’ve been using this phone as my primary device for two months, and while some things were mind-blowing, I did notice a few shortcomings.

Let me explain in simple terms what this phone offers, what’s good and what’s a little weak. Prices in India start at around ₹1,09,999 (16GB+512GB variant), so let’s see if it’s worth the money!

What’s in the Box?

The box is a familiar Vivo style. Inside was the phone (Elite Black), SIM ejector pin, black silicone case (master quality), Type-C cable, and 90W charger! Paperwork and an X300 series card were also included. No extra surprises, but it was nice to get the charger – it’s a complete kit!

Design and Build: Heavy but Premium Feel

This phone came in Elite Black, which has a slightly grayish finish – fingerprints and smudges don’t catch, with a matte glass back. It has an aluminum frame, and antenna lines are visible. The thickness is only 8mm and it weighs 226g – it feels heavy when held. With the case on, it weighs 240g! The weight is due to the large battery (6510mAh), and the metal frame also feels heavy.

The Foldable X Fold 5 is lighter than this, but it’s worth it for its premium build. I’ve used it for two months without a case – no scratches yet, but be careful against drops; the glass back can crack. IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings – it’s water-soluble, but the warranty doesn’t cover water damage, so be careful!

Camera: Point and shoot

The camera is this phone’s biggest plus point. A triple setup on the back: a 50MP main (Sony LYT-828 with OIS), a 50MP ultra-wide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto (3.5x optical zoom). With Zeiss tuning, photos come out like a real DSLR – portraits have great edge detection and bokeh! Point-and-shoot, bad shots are hard to come by. Even in low light, it’s solid – noise-reduced and details are good. Vivo excels in Super Moon shots and food photography – Instagram-ready photos!

Bird mode is a fun feature – bird portraits are stunning. Video in 8K 30fps or 4K 60fps/120fps – detail and stability are top-notch with Dolby Vision support. Cinematic blur in portrait video – edge detection is perfect! The front 50MP selfie camera is also clear, with natural bokeh in portraits. Overall, the camera is reliable – delivering the best shots in every situation. The Vivo X series is now the camera king!

Battery: Full Day Heavy Use, No Worry

6510mAh battery – lasts a full day comfortably with heavy use (camera, gaming, videos). Up to 2 days of light-medium use! 90W wired charging (full charge quickly), 40W wireless, and reverse charging (can charge earbuds or another phone). Vivo scores full marks in the battery department – efficiency is awesome!

Display: Gorgeous and Smooth

6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED, 2.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate – colors are punchy and vibrant! Ultra-thin bezels, 4500 nits peak brightness – clear even in the sun. The ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner is perfectly placed – fast and comfortable. With Dolby Vision support, movies on Netflix/YouTube look great. There’s a punch-hole notch, but the display feels edge-to-edge.

Performance: The Dimensity 9500 is a powerhouse

Absolute flagship performance with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (3nm) chipset! 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage – apps open quickly, multitasking is snappy. 120fps in gaming (ultra smooth/extreme) – no lag in BGMI/COD, heating is a bit manageable. 3.1 million+ score in benchmarks – a real-life experience killer!

Software: Origin OS 6 – Now it’s great!

Runs on Origin OS 6 (Android 16) – Funtouch OS was a disaster before, now it’s absolutely clean and smooth! Ultra-smooth 120Hz, customizable, and feels like stock Android. There’s a bit of bloatware, but you can delete it. 5 years of Android updates + 7 years of security patches – great long-term value! No Galaxy AI features, but everything in Origin OS feels fun and fast.

Network and Extras: All solid

Dual stereo speakers loud and clear – immersive sound in action movies! Dual SIM (no SD card), 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4. The mute toggle switch is also great.

Pricing: How much will it cost?

16GB + 512GB variant starts at ₹1,09,999. Offers and exchange may reduce slightly. Colors: Elite Black and Dune Gold (like off-white).
