WhatsApp is getting a new feature called Edit Message

In the Android beta version 2.23.10.10, a new feature was discovered that allows users to edit messages. The messaging app, which is owned by Meta, has finally added an alert to inform users when their message editing is successful.

This new alert will appear on the screen and notify the user that all participants in the conversation will receive the edited versions of the messages.

The ability to edit messages is currently being worked on and will soon be accessible to WhatsApp beta users on Android.

How Will Edit Message Feature Help?

The ability to edit messages after they have been sent will allow users to fix mistakes and clear up misunderstandings without needing to apologise or start a new conversation.

Not only will this save time and effort, but it will also improve communication and reduce the likelihood of misunderstanding.

The ability will be useful for those who accidentally send a message to the wrong person or group because it will let them easily and quickly fix their mistake. The ‘Delete for Everyone’ option is also present here, though.

How To Use WhatsApp Edit Messages Features?

When you choose this option, a new window will open with a prompt to edit the message. You can edit messages in your chats and groups for up to 15 minutes if the feature is enabled on your WhatsApp account, and you can edit messages more than once.

The 15-minute time limit is established to “maintain the authenticity of the conversation.” It only aims to correct the typos.

The much-anticipated edit message feature for WhatsApp should provide users with much-needed relief since they frequently send messages with mistakes or typos followed by an apology message.
