To keep up with the expectations of its users WhatsApp has rolled out yet another feature! New text formatting tools are being tested on the Meta-owned messaging system, giving you more options for how to present a specific text.

The new features have been seen on WhatsApp’s desktop version, Android and iOS users may also find them useful when it will be made available for smartphones.

New Formatting Tools Of WhatsApp For Desktop

As per a recent report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has released a new beta update for the desktop version of WhatsApp which includes three new text formatting tools. These are in addition to the already available bold, italic, and underline options.

1) Code Block: The first text formatting tool will be a Code Block, which will make it simple to read lines of code and be useful for coders communicating on WhatsApp.

2) Quote Feature: The second tool will be a quote feature. This will make it easier for users to refer back to an earlier message and maintain conversations, which can become disorganized when there are many messages.

If you’re wondering why someone would need a Quote formatting tool when there is already a Quote feature, you should know that the formatting tool will allow users to only quote a specific section of a message rather than the entire message, as the current feature already handles.

3) List tool: Users will find it simple to create lists using the List tool once the project is complete, which will be useful if you need to create lists for larger groups, for shopping, for gatherings, or for other reasons.

These new formatting tools may soon be made available to the public as well as beta users of Android and iOS.

When users get to choose the look and design of a message, it can facilitate more effective and efficient conversations. Given the speed at which WhatsApp introduces new features, these new tools should be made available even for smartphones.

Keep checking back for updates as we do the same. Another feature that has arguably been requested the most is the ability to send HD-quality images through the messaging app which will also roll out soon.
